Last month, we had the pleasure of hosting a client team from Tanzania at Anhui Changda Electric. They’re working on a government project back home, and they came to see exactly how we build our transformers.
We took them straight to our standardized production workshop – no fancy showroom, just the real workspace where everything happens.
From coil to finished transformer
They watched the whole process, from start to finish.
It began with coil winding, which is really where the quality of a transformer is decided. Our people take it seriously – tight control, clean layering, no shortcuts. Then came core assembly, vacuum drying, tanking, and final assembly. Step by step.
The Tanzanian team asked good questions. They’ve clearly seen a few factories before. They paid close attention to how we handle consistency, because for a 105-unit order, consistency is everything.
Higher standards, then a little more
Their project requires better performance than the usual market specs. So we built these 105 oil-immersed transformers strictly to **IEC 60076**. That’s the international standard.
But that alone wasn’t enough for them – or for us.
Tanzania has high temperatures and varied altitudes. Those aren’t just numbers on a paper. They affect how a transformer runs day after day. So on every single unit, we ran **extra temperature rise tests** beyond the regular procedure. We wanted to be sure. Not almost sure – sure.
105 units, leaving in June
All units passed. The client’s own technical team double-checked with us. Now the transformers are scheduled to ship this **June**, straight to Tanzania, where they’ll be installed in key government infrastructure sites.
